Son Transformed and Doing Well in His Studies
Son Transformed and Doing Well in His Studies

My son was diagnosed with dyslexia when he was in kindergarten. Since then, he often felt like a “lousy student.” This led to challenges with his emotions and behavioral issues throughout his primary school years.

He attended Rock Kidz, our church’s children’s ministry, from the age of three. However, when he transitioned into the youth ministry, he started to drift away and no longer wanted to attend church regularly. It was heartbreaking, but we continued to bring him to church every Sunday, believing that God’s Word never returns void.

One particular Sunday during the service, Pastor Prince prayed for the congregation. At that moment, I prayed with all my heart, asking God to reveal Himself to my son—not just to be known in his head, but to be received in his heart through His grace.

One day, out of the blue, my son asked me about the youth camp and mentioned that he would love to join! This was clearly God’s grace. In His faithfulness, the Lord answered my prayer. He sent angels in the form of church friends who kept inviting him back to church, as well as youth leaders who never gave up on him. They kept encouraging him, sharing about Jesus, and drawing him back to God’s house.

Since then, we have seen a transformation. He started becoming more intentional, checking the service schedule himself and taking the initiative to attend the youth ministry. He even told us that he wants to go for camp and will make sure to keep up his attendance.

In school, we witnessed God’s hand once again. He was chosen for the Singapore Youth Flying Club—one of just 13 students selected out of more than 200. From being labeled a “lousy student,” he became diligent and motivated. God also sent amazing tutors into his life, and his grades began to improve dramatically.

In fact, he even scored 100 marks in his Mathematics exam and moved up one level in his subject banding. This is something truly miraculous for someone with dyslexia!

By God’s grace, he also received awards from the Dyslexia Association Of Singapore—a powerful reminder that what once seemed like a weakness has become a testimony of God’s strength. Thank you, pastors and leaders, for being part of this journey. All glory to God who never gave up on our son, and who will continue to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all we can ask or imagine!
