While studying overseas more than a year ago, I discovered a lump in my breast. After undergoing scans and tests at the hospital, I was diagnosed with DCIS (Ductal Carcinoma In-situ), or Stage 0 breast cancer. I was shattered. I was only in my early twenties and never expected such a diagnosis.
I returned to Singapore for immediate treatment, but fear began to creep in. The doctors said they could only confirm the final staging after the surgery, leaving me in a state of uncertainty.
In the days leading up to the surgery, amidst countless medical appointments, I immersed myself in the gospel. I listened to Pastor Prince’s sermons to keep my eyes on Jesus and partook of the Holy Communion regularly, trusting in the Lord’s broken body for my healing.
The surgery went well, and the final report brought the good news I had been believing for—it was confirmed as Stage 0. I only required radiotherapy and did not need further aggressive treatments.
Today, my latest check-up shows that I am cancer-free!
And not only that, through this trial, my mother also accepted Christ! All glory to Jesus for His healing and salvation!
