For most of my life, I did not believe in God. I used to despise Christianity and relied entirely on my own abilities, believing that my academic and career successes were all my own doing. However, several years ago, I went through a midlife crisis after starting my own business. I depleted my savings and was on the verge of breaking down from anxiety. Despite trying therapy and supplements, I felt as though I was drowning.

Some time ago, I reconnected with a friend from secondary school. Although we used to mock Christians together, he had since become a believer and invited me to a service at New Creation Church. When my wife and I attended, we felt a peace we had never experienced before.

By my third service, I decided to seek confirmation of God’s presence. I prayed, “Lord, if You are really here, let the song Yeshua, My Savior be sung today.” I knew the odds were low, as it had been sung the previous week. But when that exact song began next, tears rolled down my eyes. It was a clear turning point for me, and I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior.

Since then, my family and I, including my children, have been attending services every Sunday. I have also been using the Gospel Partner app to build my faith. During this time, my mental state has undergone what my therapist describes as a “psychological miracle”. She said that people in my situation would normally require heavy medication to remain calm, yet I have remained calm without any. I now have the revelation that God has been guiding me towards Him throughout my life. I am confident that the same God who performed a miracle in my mind will continue to see me through.
